How Do I Request A Transcript?
Current Students & Former Students (with an active my.快活林性息 account) should request official transcripts through my.快活林性息. Once logged in, click on the Student Dashboard tile. Click on ‘Academics’ from the column on the left. Select Order Transcript/Verification.
Former Students (with an inactive my.快活林性息 account) should request official transcripts through the NSC secure site. Visit the and click the “Order-Track-Verify” button in the upper right side of the site. Then click “Order a Transcript.”
Transcript Requests are not accepted via phone, mail, or email. In-person requests can be made by visiting the MANE Desk in the Laura Lee Blanton Student Services building. An order will still need to be placed through the National Student Clearinghouse and will be processed as requested.
If you participated in 快活林性息 Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) program, do not place an order through the National Student Clearinghouse. Please contact smuthink@smu.edu or call 214-768-2273.
When will my request be processed?
Requests for a copy of the transcript to be mailed USPS or FedEx are processed twice daily during business hours. Requests received after 1 p.m. are processed the next business day. Orders placed during holidays are processed when the office reopens.
Requests for an electronic copy of the transcript are processed every 30 minutes. Orders are processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

Why would I not be able to get my transcript?
If you haven’t satisfied all financial obligations to the University, your official transcript cannot be released.
Can my parents get a copy of my transcript?
They must get written authorization from you or a Release of Education Record available in my.快活林性息. On the , select “Hold for Pick-Up.” They will need to show a photo ID before the transcript is released.
What if a third party wants to get my transcript?
You will need to complete this release form. On the , select “Hold for Pick-Up.” They will need to show a photo ID before the transcript is released.
How will I receive my transcript?
By mail: Transcripts are typically mailed First Class. If expedited shipping is requested, the transcript will be handled by FedEx. Please note, a physical address must be provided for FedEx deliveries. No PO Boxes permitted for expedited shipping.
PDF: You or the recipient will receive an email containing a secured link to the transcript. The transcript legend is included and can be found in the left side column when viewing the transcript. Forwarded copies of the PDF are considered unofficial. Recipients have 30 days from first access to view, print, and save the transcript before the link expires. This option is only available if you attended 快活林性息 after summer 1996.
Hold for Pick-Up: With a photo ID, you can pick up your transcript from the University Registrar’s Office, located in the Laura Lee Blanton Student Services Building Room 101, 6185 Airline Road, Dallas, Texas.
How much do transcripts cost?
Transcripts cost $12.90 per copy or email address. For mailed transcripts sent to the same address, additional copies are $3.50.
Express delivery costs an additional $27 within the U.S., an additional $37 to Mexico or Canada, and an additional $45 for international.

How can I view an unofficial transcript?
- Log in to my.快活林性息 and make sure pop-ups are enabled
- From the Student Dashboard, expand the Academics drop down
- Select "View Unofficial Transcript”
- Click View PDF on the right corner of the page.
- A new window will open displaying the unofficial transcript
