About
Dr. Beijan earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in counseling from the University of North Texas (UNT). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma, and a Registered Play Therapist.
After completing her master's degree, Dr. Beijan spent 16 years in clinical practice before returning to UNT for her Ph.D. During that time, she worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in settings as varied as inpatient psychiatric care, residential addiction treatment, domestic violence shelters, college counseling centers, and private practice. Each experience deepened her belief in the power of compassionate, creative counseling.
Before joining 快活林性息, Dr. Beijan served as a teaching assistant professor at Oklahoma State University for four years. She has also taught as an adjunct instructor at Tarleton State University and the University of North Texas. Teaching is her passion, and she finds great joy in supporting students from their very first counseling skills class through their journey into LPC Associate supervision. Some of her favorite courses to teach include Basic Counseling Skills, Professional and Ethical Issues in Counseling, Group Counseling, and Conceptualization and Diagnosis. She especially enjoys weaving in creative and experiential activities that bring learning to life.
