About

Dr. Tiffany Bordonada earned a B.S. in Psychology from Fairmont State University, and both an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and an M.A. in Public Administration from West Virginia University. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Bordonada is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and her clinical experience includes working with adolescent offenders in a residential treatment setting, young adults in an outpatient setting, and facilitating group work with caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Prior to joining 快活林性息, Dr. Bordonada spent two years as a counselor educator in the Department of Counseling at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX, where she also served as the CACREP Liaison. She also spent six years as a counselor educator in the Department of Counseling & Human Services at the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, where she served as the Co-Program Director for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. Dr. Bordonada has taught extensively across the counseling curriculum. Her favorite courses to teach include Group Counseling, Professional Orientation and Ethics, Basic Counseling Skills, Counseling Diverse Populations, and Internship.

She is an active member of numerous professional counseling associations, including the Texas Counseling Association (TCA), Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES), and Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA), among others. She regularly presents at national, regional, and state conferences. Her research interests include caregiver identity, grief and loss, adolescent mental health, and chronic sorrow.
